Pastoral and Christian Education Teaching Certificates (non-secular), as well as four levels of ESL certificates are also offered at our branch campus. Home study options are also offered to help accelerate the education process. LCBI is concerned about community affairs and is part of a coalition of Christian ministries who desire to see a spiritual transformation in the city of Elizabeth. LCBI is helping to spearhead the Adopt-a-Street initiative whose vision to see every street in Elizabeth prayed for on a daily basis. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AND TUTORING English as a second language ESL courses are offered at the Liberty Center Bible Institute; 12 week semesters four times a year. The ESL program includes six levels of study and the cost is less than $100 a semester. The Bridge first opened it's doors on June 02, 2000, in a small room in the back of the 2nd Presbyterian Church on E. Jersey St in Elizabeth. There were only ten youth in attendance and four starting leaders. We started with not much else than a simple mission statement: "Uniting the hearts of youth with the heart of God." We have remained faithful to that mission since the beginning. The Mid-town location meets at 1121 Elizabeth Avenue on Friday evenings 7:00-8:00Pm for 3rd to 5th graders and 8:00-10:00pm for teenagers up to the 12th grade. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Holistic Living Project is a group of attorneys, law students and professionals providing confidential legal, financial and social assistance to those who are most in need and not able to afford conventional support services. The Holistic Living Project is a faith based 501-c 3 organization. Holistic Living Project is a holistic approach addressing spiritual, physical and emotional needs to help rebuild lives. Our services include immigration (asylum), mediation, and consumer counseling. Financial counseling services are also available. SOCIAL SERVICES We offer intake and referral services in a cooperative effort with several agencies throughout Union County. Our focus is to assist members with emergency social services needs including food, rental, utility assistance, shelters, unemployment and substance abuse. Also, to create a sense of awareness of the different types of existing social programs available. ENTERTAINMENT/ CONFERENCE CENTER Liberty Center is a beautifully renovated facility with two auditoriums with stages. The larger auditorium seats approximately 800 and is a venue for concerts, conferences, plays and seminars.
